THE HUNTINGDON BRJ Road Running Club had 16 runners at the Silverstone Half Marathon last Sunday.

The bright and sunny conditions made it a good day for running around the Formula One race track and the service roads. The first BRJ runner to cross the line was Darren Preston in 143rd in one hour and 27 minutes, and he was followed by Keith Douglas in 214th.

Gillian Peck was the first woman to finish the 13 miles for the club in 1296th and three runners made their half-marathon debuts. Tony Cotton was the only BRJ representative at the Brentwood Half Marathon, finishing 761st as the first man over 70.
