The Huntingdon BRJ man broke the course record on his way to victory in the Bass Belle 10 Mile race staged at Bassingbourn. Hudson clocked a fine time of 53.54 when following up his St Neots Half Marathon win the previous weekend. Four BRJ teams took part in the Hereward Relay an event which runs between Peterborough and Ely and is split into four legs. The quartet of Andy Phillips, Paul Mitton, John Uff and Danny Hawksford finished 12th out of 117 teams in a total time of 4:27.24. The female squad of Alison Orrell, Judith Newman, Shelley Duffy and Anna Douglas were 54th in 5:16.57; Mike Shaw, Ian Wilson, Pete Newham and David Newton were 65th in 5:23.00 and Claire Ashton, Sue Ray, Claire Few and Kate Ruddock took 111th spot in 6:27.56. Duffy was the fastest lady in her leg while Uff was the second quickest runner to complete his leg.
