ST IVES Cycling Club rider Andy Bright continued his comeback with an impressive time of 1 hour 15 minutes 14 seconds in the Hertfordshire Wheelers 30-mile time trial.

Veteran Dave Nelson recorded his best average speed over any distance this year, 1:21.59, but this was frustratingly 23 seconds over the time required for a medal.

Neil Houldey was clear winner of the club's ten-mile evening time trial with 23.00. Ian Bentley was fastest veteran and Dave Nelson beat Terry Cooke by just one second on age standard.
