Brampton Park were pipped in the final of the Grace Norman Trophy.

They went down 2-1 to Saffron Walden in the Cambs & Hunts Ladies County Golf Association event at The Links course in Newmarket.

Brampton Park had beaten Royston 2-1 in their semi-final with Lynda Hall and Ros Irons winning the crucial match on a third extra hole.

Fay Allison and Cath Emery also triumphed 5 & 3 in their match and enjoyed another emphatic victory in the final against Saffron Walden as they won 7 & 6.

But Kay Osborne and Ann Norman were beaten 3 & 1 while Hall and Irons went down 2 & 1 in the deciding game.
