Their 1 team triumphed in the physical disability section of an event organised by Living Sport and staged at Cambridge Regional College. The victorious Hinchingbrooke quartet - captain Jabe Peake, Harry Parker, Tom Mayers and Sam Turner They will now go on to represent the area at regional level later this year. Hinchingbrooke 2 (featuring Amelia Sellens, Ashwin Gogna, Eden Owens and Rooney Kerridge) and Hinchingbrooke 3 (Jonathan Cross, Jacob Whittington and Alexander Dunford) were third and eighth respectively in the pan disability competition. Ernulf Academy also entered two teams. Their A squad of Jamie Welch, Jamie Walking and Matthew Yim Symons were 10th while the B team of Bethany Martin, Caitlin Keatling, Euan Foster and Ryan Charles finished seventh. Boccia is a fast-growing Paralympic sport similar to bowls. It gives physically disabled youngsters the chance to compete all the way up to international level.
