THIS photograph shows players and members from Leighton Bromswold Cricket Club enjoying the fruits of a successful season back in the early 1970s - as the hairstyles suggest.

The picture was supplied to The Hunts Post by former player Pip Carter, who is in the middle of the back row, but he is unsure about the trophy that had been presented.

Leighton Bromswold CC was a successful side in Huntingdonshire cricket for many years before they folded less than 10 years ago.

Club stalwart Ron 'Dickie' Bird is pictured second from the right in the front row and Neville Cook, who ran a successful youth set up for many years, is in the middle of the front row.
