ATHLETICS: Shannon is the star turn for Hunts AC at national event

Hunts AC starlet Shannon Flockhart impressed on the big stage last Saturday.

Flockhart finished seventh in the Under 15 Girls race at the National Cross-Country Championships in Nottingham. She completed the muddy 4km course at Wollaton Park in a time of 16:40.

Flockhart was one of 27 athletes from Hunts AC to take part with Issy Wilkins being the next best finisher. She took 65th in the Under 13 Girls race over 3km.

Nick Osborne (529th) and Caroline Archer (418) were the leading Hunts AC runners in the Senior Men and Senior Women races.
