His weight included 25lbs of bream plus three carp from peg 11. In sunny but windy conditions the fish had shoaled up and pegs nine and seven took the next two places with Geordie Best beating Steve Ashwell to the runners-up spot. Ricky Ashwell still leads the qualifying series with Steve Ashwell hot on his heels in second.

Lawn Farm Teams of Four
RED was the colour on Sunday at Lawn Farm as Stanjay Red took first place on both lakes in the teams of four. Ricky Ashwell was first on Honeysuckle Lake with 41lb 5oz and Andy Leathers, guesting for the team, weighed in an excellent 56lb 7oz which included several good carp. Team-wise, Hotrods were second on the day and Garbolino third. The final match is in two weeks' time with Garbolino still heading the league from Stanjay Black and Hotrods.

WEDNESDAY was the last chance for anglers to qualify for the big money final and the match was well supported. Diawa's Simon Wheeler from peg 56 took the plaudits on the day with the last qualifying place going to Deben's Reg Bryton.
The same peg won Saturday's semi-final match with Tony Watling in second place weighing in a catfish of 24lb which he played for almost an hour.
