HAJAC Winter League

THE second round of this year's HAJAC was fished on Sunday with sections at Raveley Drain and on Glassmoor Bank.

Although some anglers struggled after a hard frost, the fishing, in general, was surprisingly good.

The individual winner, for the second consecutive week, was Hotrods' Andy Leathers. He made the most of his peg by the bridge at Raveley to weigh in with 12lb 10oz.

Stanjay's Steve Gordon and Brampton's Graham Welton also caught 12lb-plus weights for second and third places.

Teamwise, leaders Browning Hotrods were only sixth on the day with three of the four Stanjay teams taking the top three places. March and Wades also finished in front of Hotrods.

Stanjay Specials now top the league after a first and a second place finish. This week sees the winter pairs on Decoy Lakes with the league matches resuming the following Sunday.
