St Ives 1sts drew 3-3 with Cambridge South 1sts in Division Two North. Rory Mooney, James Harris and Garth Mooney grabbed their goals as the spoils were shared. St Ives 2nds collected a first Division Three North-West success when seeing off fellow promoted side Wisbech Town 2nds. Peter Young, Michael Boyle, Ben Peron and Nat Edwards struck in the 4-0 victory. A Mike McKenna brace helped the 3rds triumph in Division Five North-West. Alex Paddock also found the net as they beat Spalding 4ths 3-1. Two local derby clashes in Division Six North-West (South) St Ives 4ths vs St Neots 5ths and St Ives 5ths vs St Neots 4ths were both conceded by the St Neots teams while that clubs 3rds saw their trip to Horncastle 2nds in Division Five North-West postponed. St Neots 2nds did triumph at that level, though, when seeing off Cambridge City 6ths 5-2. Adam Horlock hit a first-half hat-trick with Phil Gentles and Charlie Evans joining him on the scoresheet. The 1sts were involved in a goalless Division Three North-West deadlock against City of Peterborough 4ths. It was a game of plenty of chances, but neither side could manage a breakthrough to earn victory. Brett Nunn failed to take Saints best opportunity from close range while a man-of-the-match display from goalkeeper Ben Seaber kept the visitors at bay. St Neots 1sts picked up their first point of the East Womens League season. They were also involved in goalless draw when battling out a stalemate against Norwich Dragons in Division One North. And, just like the Mens 1sts, they too were indebted to a fine goalkeeping performance as Mel Harding excelled. St Neots 2nds continued their fine start to life in Division One of the Five Counties Womens League with a third successive win. China Saywell and Emma Southern found the net in a 2-1 victory at Chiltern 1sts, but the 3rds are still waiting to open their account in Division Three after they were beaten 1-0 by Saffron Walden 4ths. And there was also a third consecutive defeat for St Neots 4ths in Division Four North-West of the East Womens League. They went down 3-2 at Bury St Edmunds 3rds despite a double-strike from Alexandra Colby. St Ives 3rds are also yet to pick up a point at that level. They lost 4-0 to Sudbury 2nds last Saturday but the 4ths still boast a 100 per-cent record of the preferred sort and sit top of the table after thumping Bury St Edmunds 4ths 5-0 with Natalie Horner on target twice. There were mixed fortunes for the other two St Ives female sides in Division Two North-West. Helen Clarke hit both goals as the 1sts beat Bourne Deeping 1sts 2-0 to continue their unbeaten start, but the 2nds were pipped 3-2 by Long Sutton 1sts despite goals from Alice Kemp and Holly Stride.
