RANGERS U13B got off to a winning start with a 2-0 triumph over KC Cougars. Will Acton and Matt Burroughs scored the goals for the home side.

The U12s went down 2-0 at home to Sawston while the U15B side lost 4-0 to Great Paxton despite good performances from Adam Dean and Andrew Prior.

Brampton Spartans

BRAMPTON Spartans U11s started the new season with a win away to Ramsey Colts.

Tom Rayner opened the scoring for Spartans, before Ramsey equalised with a defected shot. Spartans goalkeeper Cameron Macleod made some fine saves before Adam Pedlar extended Spartans lead just before half-time with a well-taken goal. Both teams played open football in the second half, but it was Spartans who capitalised with a third goal thanks to Pedlar's second goal of the game.

Eaton Socon

SOCON U12s visited Stretham Sporting and shared the spoils 2-2 in an entertaining game, with Stretham equalising five minutes from time.

The scorers for Eaton were Jozef Leenderts and man of the match Jack Thompson.

Eynesbury Rovers

NEWLY-formed Eynesbury U11 got their season off to a flier with a 5-1 win over FC Comet with Oliver Fox, Andrew Gulliver, Charlie Carey (2) and Max Stevens on the scoresheet.

Godmanchester Rovers

GODMANCHESTER U12Cs strolled to an 8-0 victory against Chatteris under 12Bs. Joseph Cattmull opened the scoring with the second from Luke Turnbull. After the break further goals came from Sparky Mcilwain, James Cockshott (2), Cattmull (2) and Kieran Bruce.

The U8s travelled to Ramsey under 8s for a pre-season friendly. Despite a brace from Toby Graham, Goddy found themselves 4-2 down at half time. James Osbourne was on target in the second period for Goddy and two further goals from Toby Graham gave Rovers a 6-5 victory.

Rovers U9Bs started their pre-season with a friendly at home to Warboys

Colts

Goddy opened the scoring through Cameron Corden before Warboys hit back twice. Jack Forster, Nathan Brown and Alec Bryden all netted for Goddy before Warboys pulled a goal back. Thomas Mawson and a late own goal saw an excellent match end 6-3 to Goddy. Rovers player of the match went to Oliver Langford.

Goddy U11C met their U11A counterparts in a pre-season friendly at Sapley Park. Despite a couple of fine saves from Jamie Worrall and a fine defensive performance from eventual MOM Peter Maylor, Godmanchester A finished eventual winners 7-0.

Hemingford

HEMINGFORD U12s got off to a win in their first ever game at Spartak 78B. Tom Young, Sam Eyre and Michael Cato all bagged goals as the visitors ran out 5-2 winners.

Huntingdon Rowdies

ROWDIES U13s defended strongly to take a 1-0 lead into half time against Haverhill Rovers Youth but were undone in the second half, eventually losing 5-2. Goalscorers were Omar Ickin and Jordan Gillbanks. Man of the match was super sub Michael Benning.

The U16C team kicked off the new season in style with a 9-0 win against Little Downham. The goals came courtesy of hat-tricks from Ben Bushby, Dorrie Mcilwain and Gareth Evans.

Rowdies U14As started the season in great form beating Histon Hornets 6-0 with two goals from Neil Macphee and futher goals from Josh Sadler, Joe Furness, Wayne Childerley and Micky Drage. Sam Joannides was named man of the match.

Needingworth

NEEDINGWORTH under 11s defeated Buckden Juniors 2-1 on Sunday. An own goal gave Needingworth the lead after good work from Bradley Maher before Buckden equalised through a penalty just before half time.

Liam Peacock gave Needingworth the win after the break and Maher was named man of the match.

Priory Parkside

PRIORY U13s put in an excellent performance to defeat Histon 4-3. Both teams played some excellent football in what was a thrilling end to end game with Priory's goals coming from Danny Cain (3) and Lindsey Smith.

The U12A team earned a 2-2 draw at home to Cottenham. Jake Leonce and an own goal found the target for Priory.

Priory U12Bs won an exciting contest against Hundon 4-3 with a Jacob Tose hat-trick and Alex Bonafont finding the net.

Ramsey

RAMSEY U11s played their first league game against Brampton Spartans in a tightly fought match Rams were unlucky to go down 3-2 with Luke Jenkins and Chris Redshaw found the net for the Rams.

Rams' U12A team saw a hard-fought game against Burwell Swallows, Rams came back from behind twice to finish eventual 4-3 winners.

Scott Duncan, Elliot Smith and Reuben Taylor found the target for Rams

Ramsey U13s started the season with a local derby against Warboys Colts and came away 4-2 winners with goals from Louis Shepherd, Luke Markland and a brace for Adam Ray.

Rams U15s saw a good start to the league taking a 3-0 win against Ellesmere Eagles. Tom Power, Arron Martin and Chris Whitfield got the goals.

Sawtry

SAWTRY U12s scored three goals in 10 minutes to see off the challenge of Spalding. Jonny Hipwell (2) and Connor Belgrove grabbed the goals while Robert Graham and Connor Nash looked good at the back.

St Ives Rangers

RANGERS U13As came from behind for the second game running to defeat Bluntisham Rangers 3-2. Ryan Palmer gave Bluntisham the lead before a penalty after the break doubled the advantage. Rangers' Max Roberts netted a penalty before a Connor Withers double gave his side victory. Tyler Martin was named man of the match.

Rangers U12As edged past Histon 2-0, with some excellent football played by both sides.

Rangers' goals came from Dan Jackson and Charlie Snell.

Saints U14Bs went down 7-0 to Parkside 2000. The team were one down at half time but a second half barrage left them helpless. Man of the match was Michael Keeley who never gave up the chase.

Rangers U14 girls defeated rivals Godmanchester 4-1 in their opening game of the season. Sophie Luckhurst (2), Sophie Thornton and Holly Knott bagged the goals.

The boys' U11 side triumphed 4-3 against Huntingdon Rowdies thanks to an amazing performance by Jamie Giglio who scored all four goals.

St Neots

SAINTS U14s got off to a flying start with a 3-0 victory at Bedwell. Jamie McDonald (2) and Robert Plum got the goals while Luke Walker and Lincoln Miles turned in impressive performances.

The U9 team started their league campaign at home to Stotfold. The Blue team triumphed 2-0 with goals came from Tom Hall and man of the match Ben Bradbury while the Whites also came out 2-0 winners. Man of the match Joe Keech bagged a brace and goalkeeper Daniel Salmon turned in fine displays.

Saints U8s Blues earned a 2-1 home victory against Stotfold. Reece Sibley and a late deflected effort from Sam Piesse gave the team victory, despite Isaac Clarke's bullet header into his own net.

The U8 Whites defeated the same opposition 3-0 with Henry Vaudin (2) and Carl Gore on the scoresheet. Nathan Downes was man of the match.

Saints U11s played at home to Bluntisham Rangers but went down 4-2 despite two goals from man of the match Thom Fordham.

The U15 Sky Blues got off to a great start with a 5-1 win at Fenland Youth. Gerry Horner (2), Carl Lofty and Jamie Page (2) found the target.
