A group of young anglers gathered on Hemingford Meadow for the first junior fishing competition in St Ives in 20 years.
The hot sun made for challenging conditions but everyone caught and enjoyed the atmosphere of the event.
Max Fender won the under-11's age category, and Zenith Kan took top spot in the over-11s.
Many of the attendees have been learning to fish through the Angling Trust's Get Fishing scheme, supported by funding from the Environment Agency.
This initiative introduces wannabe anglers, especially children, to the pastime. Participants learn the basics with a coach so that they have the confidence to go fishing safely and follow the rules.
The club also presented the Leon Radford Cup to Patrick O'Sullivan - the cup is named after the late Leon Radford, a local farmer and supporter of the club and will be awarded each year to the most improved junior angler.
"The club's Get Fishing events have been very popular again this year," said co-ordinator Bob Bailey.
"We've coached people from all different backgrounds and sometimes the girls outnumber the boys - showing that anyone can go fishing."
