St Ives Tackle has recently had some great reports of anglers catching Chub in the River Great Ouse, with the best catch weighing more than 4lb.

The anglers used trotting bread Flake and legering cheese paste or luncheon meat to lure the Chub, which seemed to be the best method of bait to catch them.

Meanwhile, just up the road on the River Great Ouse on a section run by St Neots Angling Club, angler Paul Webb landed a colossal Chub of 7lb 5oz.

Paul caught the superb specimen by utilising legered steak as bait.

Various reports have indicated that the Pike fishing has been very slow of late, but St Ives Tackles Mike Bartlett did have an excellent day recently, landing six lovely Pike weighing in at just over 13lb.

Float fishing Herrings and small Roach proved to be very successful Pike bait for Mike.
