Anglers from St Ives Tackle are celebrating the end of another short cold spell by returning back to the bank to catch Pike in the rivers.
Adam and Mickey Bartlett of St. Ives Tackle ventured out in their boat on a very windy day and banked some "lovely" Pike, although both fell just short of catching any 'monsters'.
Mickey returned the next day to a Fenland drain with his Dad, Mike Bartlett, and had a good day's fishing.
Mike managed to land a 19lb Pike, whilst Mickey bagged himself an 11lb Pike, with most of the fish caught through the bait of float-fished Herrings.
Elsewhere, on the River Great Ouse, there have been some reports of Chub of more than 3lb coming out at the Dolphin Meadow section, lured by Cheese paste and Luncheon meat.
