Junior members of Huntingdonshire Athletics Club (HAC) are celebrating some excellent results and county call-ups from the Cambridgeshire County Sportshall Championships.
The U11s, U13s and U15 all travelled to Cambridge on December 4 for the championships, which provide an indoor multi-event competition helping budding athletes to develop athletics-based skills.
HAC member Sarah Newman said: "A great effort from HAC at Sportshall with many athletes awarded first place in track and field events.
"All athletes enjoyed their events and were a credit to the club."
Events included two lap races, vertical jump, speed bounce, foam javelin, chest push and more that all the athletes excelled in.
Five U13s, three U15s and seven U11s have now been selecteded to represent Cambridgeshire County in the Annual Inter-counties East Combined Sportshall Regional Final on January 28 2023, which this season is being held at the University Sports Park Norwich.
Sarah added: "Thanks to Paul who helped with the U11 teams and to Yinka and Sarah who managed the U13/U15s.
"Also, thanks to several Hunts AC parents/adults who supported many field events. A huge thanks to Moji Opaleye who was timekeeper for races all day."
