Several football, rugby and other sports fixtures were called off in Huntingdonshire on Saturday (December 17) because of frozen pitches.
St Ives Town Football Club were one of the few teams able to play during the weekend previously on December 10, but their planned opponents, Stratford, fell victim to the cold snap without the pitch sufficient thawing.

A statement on St Ives' website read: "With the freezing weather conditions continuing, the league match at Stratford tomorrow (December) has been postponed.
"Also postponed is the trip to Coalville scheduled for next December 20. This is due to Coalville playing their FA Trophy tie which was originally scheduled for tomorrow."

St Neots Town's match was also postponed, but fans of St Neots and St Ives will be hoping the ice melt in time for their Boxing Day matches.
Elsewhere, the league fixtures for Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives rugby club were also called off, resulting in a premature end to for rugby this year, with the next round of league matches scheduled for January 7.
No new dates have yet been given or confirmed for the matches to have been called off, with the fixtures most likely to be rearranged for 2023.
