Huntingdon Gymnast Niall Hooton has capped off an excellent season competing in the Germans Gymnastics Bundesliga by being the top scorer in his team at every competition.
After a fantastic summer competing at the European Youth Olympic Festival and the Junior European Championships for Ireland, Niall was selected to join the TV Hoesbach team.
Competing away from his familiar teammates and coaches at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club (HGC), Niall has excelled in Germany and helped the TV Hoesbach reach a promotion competition for the first time.
Unfortunately, the team could not achieve promotion on the day, but it was one of their best results in the Bundesliga, with Niall a key component of that milestone.
A spokesperson for the HGC said: "The Men’s Artistic Gymnastics team at Huntingdon are extremely proud of Niall for all of his achievements this year and for his participation in the German Bundesliga, being the top scorer at every competition.
"He is now working hard, ready for a new competition season for 2023."
