St Neots Rugby Club’s younger generation shone with a perfect record at the Under 13s Cambridgeshire Festival last weekend.

The team came away with 80 points and conceded just 20 over five games against Huntingdon Stags, St Ives, Wisbech, Newmarket and Cambridge.

Those victories included a 30-0 triumph over Huntingdon and a 10-0 success against St Ives.

Coach Harry Morris said: ‘It’s the best performance I’ve seen for a while and we walked away with five wins.”

St Neots’ senior men’s team had a tougher test when they faced Huntingdon Stags for the second time this season.

The game saw St Neots take the lead but Huntingdon fought back to earn a 15-15 draw.

St Neots go to Biggleswade in the Midlands League Counties 2 Midlands East (South) on Saturday.

St Neots Ladies were given an away walkover win after opponents Biggleswade were unable to field a team.

The Cambridgeshire side take on Royston in Women’s NC 2 Midlands Central on December 4.
