It was a mixed set of results for St Neots Hockey Club on November 12, with the Men's 1s celebrating a 5-0 win but the Women's 1s suffering a 4-2 defeat.
The Men's 1s comfortably defeated St Ives 3s to record their first back-to-back wins of the season.
Saints started in control of the game and kept St Ives in their own half for most of the first half, and their patient play was soon rewarded when Phil McMorris finished well.
Saints rode their luck at the start of the second half, but three goals in five minutes put the tie out of sight.
McMorris scored his second and the host's fifth late on to help move them up to fifth in the league.
St Neots Women’s 1s made a third trip to Norfolk in as many games and were again on the losing side as they lost 4-2 to Norwich Dragons 1s.
Saints had to be strong in defence from the start, but the pressure was too much as Norwich went 2-0 before the break.
Saints started to work their way back into the game and thought they were onto a comeback when Sadie Werrett coolly slotted in the equaliser.
Unfortunately, two Norwich goals from short corners gave them the lead once more and the three points.
