RIDERS from Huntingdon and District Riding Club have won a prestigious competition at the Blenheim Horse Trials.
The team of four - Alex Brookman, Polly Sewell, Sarah Anderson and Kelly Murdoch - rode superbly to finish on a zero-fault score to win the inaugural Riding Club Eventer Trial Team Challenge.
Competing against 31 other teams, the competition was intense and though other teams finished with the same zero-fault score, HDRC's faster time was enough to seal the title.
The winning team were presented with their prizes by His Grace the Duke of Marlborough.
HDRC's chef d'equipe Clare Day said: "It was a very exciting competition, particularly in the closing stages. The club is extremely proud of the team."
The Blenheim team win comes on the back of the club's success in the Eventer Trial at the British Riding Clubs' Festival of the Hunter in May.
