Nicky Brett made a smooth start to the defence of his Co-operative Funeralcare International Open title.
Brett eased to a 9-7, 12-2 victory against Gary Smith in the first round of the tournament at the Newton Hall Holiday Park in Blackpool.
Huntingdon IBC man Brett faces former City of Ely clubmate Greg Harlow in the second round tomorrow (Wednesday).
