Nicky Brett saw the defence of his Co-operative Funeralcare International Open crown end in dramatic fashion at the weekend.
The Huntingdon IBC ace was pipped in a semi-final tie-break by eventual champion David Gourlay.
Brett, who won the World Indoor Singles title back in January, won the opening set 8-7 before Gourlay responded to take the second set 9-8 after holding a 9-1 advantage following the opening six ends.
And Gourlay also came out on top in the tie break with two singles earning him victory.
