A double Olympian was a star guest in the area recently.
Distance runner Paul Evans, who represented Great Britain in the 1992 and 1996 Games, attended Huntingdon BRJ Run & Tri club’s annual meeting.
Evans, 54, was on hand to speak to club members at the Countryside Centre at Hinchingbrooke Park.
One of the club’s big days of the year is looming large on the calendar.
The BRJ Mayor of Huntingdon Charity Races are being staged at Jubilee Park on Monday, May 2.
There is a one-and-a-half mile fun run at 10am followed by the main five-mile race at 11am.

BRJ Run & TRi talent Chloe Loosely has impressed for Cambridgeshire in two major events recently.
Loosely finished 227th in the Under 15 girls race at the Inter-Counties Cross-Country Championships in Birmingham a week after crossing the line in 188th place in the intermediate girls race at the English Schools Cross-Country Championships in Nottingham.
