Huntingdon racer Guy Jolly achieved his best-ever finish in the V8 Hotstox World Final last Saturday.
Jolly started fourth on the grid at Brandon Stadium, Coventry and dropped down to 12th after an early mistake, but he worked his way back through the field to finish in a creditable sixth place.
His previous best in eight attempts at this event was ninth position back in 2012.
It has been a fine year for Jolly, who won the Supreme Championship for the second time back in May, and sits fifth in the national points standings with eight rounds to go.
