Huntingdon racer Kenneth Bjerre endured a disappointing second round of the Speedway Euro Championship last night.
The Dane, who has been based in the town for the past decade, could only manage four points from five rides at German track Gustrow.
It means Bjerre’s prospects of a medal are already slim as he sits in 10th position in the overall standings at the halfway stage of the series.
He is 13 points behind leader Andjezs Lebedevs, of Latvia, and is nine points adrift of current third-placed man, Vaclav Milik, of the Czech Republic.
The third round is at Swedish venue Hallstavik on August 5.
