All four non-league football fixtures involving local sides were postponed yesterday as 2017 ended with a washout.
The Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division clash between Godmanchester Rovers and Stanway Rovers, a United Counties League Premier Division game involving Eynesbury Rovers at St Andrews, a United Counties League Division One fixture for Huntingdon Town at Bourne and St Neots Town Reserves’ home outing in Spartan South Midlands League Division One were all called off.
And the wet weather could also threten the big Southern League Premier Division derby clash between St Ives Town and St Neots Town on New Year’s Day.
A 10.30am pitch inspection will be carried out at ProEdge Westwood Road in the morning to determine whether or not the big battle of Hunts can go ahead.
