GOLFERS from Cromwell Golf Club took to the fairways to complete an all day golf marathon for charity.
Steve Connolly, head professional, vice captain Dave Saunders, Club Captain Steve Whitney and Keith Curr, competition organiser took to the fairways at 5am on June 22.
They completed seven rounds, raising sponsorship for this year's nominated captain'scCharities, Willow Foundation and Sense East.
The strong wind for the first five rounds made for some very interesting shots which held the four hardy golfers in good stead.
The final two holes were completed in the dark and turned out to be the most consistent of the day, Whitney finishing with an eagle and a birdie.
The efforts will increase a successful charity year by a further £500.
