THESE Huntingdon schoolgirls beat the odds and came away victorious from the Fenland Youth Netball Tournament at the weekend.
The team, made up of girls from schools across Huntingdon and titled Huntingdon Honeyz, competed in the under 16 age group at the competition despite most of the girls being aged only 13 or 14.
Teams from Wisbech and Ramsey were swept aside as captain Kerry O'Brien led her side to maximum points to claim the title.
The success followed the girls' triumph in the Fenland Youth Netball League where the team won nine out of 10 matches and clinched the league on goal difference with an impressive 441 goals for and just 149 goals against.
*The Junior Hawks netball club are appealing for applications from players in Years 7-11 for the new season. Anyone interested can visit www.hawksnetball.co.uk or contact Janet on 01832 710248
