A strong contingent of youngsters from St Ives Swimming Club made the trip to this year's Cambridge Summer Meet Open on a long, humid day of competition.
A haul of more than 20 trophies and medals reflected an excellent standard of performance across all age groups, pleasing head coach Andy Hunter as the club prepares for the summer break.
Sweltering along with the swimmers was a full gallery of spectators at Parkside Pool, including some very vocal Saints supporters across the three sessions.
Winning performances came from Emma Jones, Catherine Pritchard, Michael Mackrell, Hannah Milner, Gemma Sargent, Hannah Sargent, Chloe Solomou, Ellen Ward and Luke Watson.
Points from these swims, along with medal-winning efforts from Georgina Butler, Oliver Cook and Tom Pritchard earned the St Ives club a respectable fourth position overall, of 23 visiting clubs.Picture: SUPPLIED
