In November at the County Intermediate Foil Championship Hunts made a clean sweep of the medals, with Tim Bissell winning the championship, Dan Tozer finishing runner up, and
Joshua Coates and Jason Presland sharing the bronze medals.
Last weekend saw the County Team Foil and Epee Championships held at Sawston Village College. In the Team Foil event Hunts took gold and bronze. The A Team of Tracey Coates, Chris Convine and Tim Bissell fenced undefeated through the competition to win gold, while the B Team lost to Hunts A and second placed Cambridge Sword A to take bronze
In the Team Epee event Hunts dominated, taking all the medals. Unexpected winners were veteran led Hunts B consisting of club chairman Geoff Browne, secretary Ivan Ward and club newcomer Leigh Aitken, who remained undefeated at the end of the day. Hunts A and Hunts C took second and third respectively.
The Club will be running a beginner course in January. Telephone Mr Ward on 01480 380804 for details.
