Ten-year-old Esme Johnson, who raised more than £2,000 for the Macmillan Woodlands Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital earlier this year, is to open the Bromswold Bike Fest on June 11.
After her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, Esme cycled 13 miles and raised enough money to buy the equivalent of 10 chemotherapy chairs.
The event, which will raise money for The Woodland and the Shine charity, takes place in Leighton Bromswold and competitors can choose from 70/50/25/15/7 and two-mile courses.
Bromswold Bike Fest team is keen to break the £6,000 fund-raising barrier this year.
“It is not a race, it is all about a great day out for the family, with the happy opportunity that you can do a bit for charity. We have distances to suit everyone, from two miles right up to 70 miles,” said Carol Greed one of the event’s founders.

25 mile route - from 10.30 am
15 mile route - from 11.30 am
7 mile route - from 12.30 am
2 mile route - 1.30 pm
Fete opens - 1pm and music from 2pm.
