A young jewellery designer from Earith has scooped a hat-trick of honours at an industry awards ceremony.
Jack Bainbridge, 24, won bronze, silver, and gold awards for his designs at the Goldsmiths Craft and Design Awards, including winning recognition for a unique jewelled kraken which can be worn in a beard.
Mr Bainbridge studied at Cambridge Regional College and Loughborough University before, by his own admission, “stumbling into” the jewellery industry. More than three years on, he says he has discovered his passion in design and now works for fine jewellers Cellini, in Cambridge.
He received his awards at the Goldsmiths Hall, in London, late last month.
He said: “I think the most important thing about a piece of jewellery is being able to wear it everyday. I am quite broad in terms of design style but it is important to me that my designs are wearable.”
