POLICE are trying to trace a would-be robber who attacked a man in Huntingdon.
The 20-year-old victim fought back against the perpetrator, who ran off empty handed.
The attack happened in Spring Common, near St Peters School, at about 4.30pm on Friday, May 18.
The victim was struck to the head from behind by what he believed to be a flat object and then punched to the face twice before the attacker attempted to grab his ear phones, which were connected to his mobile phone.
The victim defended himself and punched the man twice who then ran off towards Lammas Gardens.
The man was black, 17 to 18, slim, 5ft 8in and was wearing a light blue hooded top with the hood up, dark grey jogging bottoms, and a black woollen scarf wrapped around the lower half of his face.

“The man may also have injuries from being struck during the attempted robbery.”
