WOOD Green is appealing for help to look after the growing number of puppies in its care.
The Godmanchester-based animals charity recently took in seven 10-week-old puppies after their owner was made homeless.
Three of the Springer Spaniel-American Bulldog crosses, which are in good health, have already found new homes but four are with foster carers.
Each dog sent to a foster home needs its own kit – including toys, leads, harnesses, balls and chews as well as bowls and coats – so donations of good quality items are always needed.
Deputy manager of dog welfare, Chris Bennett, told The Hunts Post: “We are seeing more and more incidents of people finding themselves in financial hardship and being forced to give up their pets.”
