The March meeting was once again full of laughter and interest. Correspondence secretary Jill Aylin read out a very amusing thank-you note from our outgoing drama group leader, who had been presented with a voucher to spend on a pampering session to thank her for 23 years of dedication and hard work.
A thank-you letter had also been sent to the head waiter of Ramsey Golf Club, who succeeded in keeping 45 women happy at a very memorable birthday dinner in February.
Our guest speaker, beekeeper Arthur Golden, also had the members buzzing with questions during and following his stimulating talk on the life of the honey bee. There was an opportunity to buy honey and novelty beeswax candles.
Anyone interested in joining the WI can attent the next meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 10 when the evening will be entitled Wickedly naughty women.
