A woman suffered serious head injuries after falling at her home in St Ives.
The Magpas helimedix team was called at about 8.30am on Thursday to reports that a woman, in her 80s, had suffered a fall.
The East of England Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
A spokesman for Magpas said: “The Magpas medical team assessed the woman who had sustained a serious head injury. They then gave her a general anaesthetic at the scene - providing her with A&E level care - before accompanied her by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.”
The spokesman added that the woman was in a “serious condition” upon arrival at hospital.
