A woman has died following a collision on the northbound carriageway of the A1 at Eaton Socon.
The incident, involving a Ford Focus and a Vauxhall Astra, was reported to police at 3.10pm yesterday (Thursday).
The woman, who was in her 30s, was the driver of a Ford Focus, died at the scene.
The A1 close to Eaton Socon, from the A428 Wyboston junction, and at the B645 northbound, was closed yesterday afternoon as emergency services tried to determine how the incident took place.
Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact the Road Policing Unit on 101.
