AN 88-year-old woman was hit by a Volkswagen Beetle in Huntingdon on Saturday morning.
Cambridgeshire police said the woman had been crossing the road at the traffic lights at the junction with Priory Road at 8.45am on Saturday (October 15).
The East of England Ambulance Service took the woman to Hinchingbrooke Hospital suffering from pelvic and abdominal injuries.
Her injuries were today (Monday) described as serious but not life-threatening.
Pc Stuart Cox said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident to contact police on 0345 456 4564.”
– In Ramsey on Friday a woman was treated by Magpas after falling from a scooter.
The accident happened at 2.45pm and the woman was also taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
