Seventeen members went by bus and bike to the home of Helen and James in Fenstanton for an evening of 'Wine Whist'. The set up for this game is the same as for a progressive whist drive but each player carries a bottle of home brewed wine - not their own and not identified. Each player judges the other three wines at the table and allocates marks out of 20. The highest scorer at each table then moves up and the lowest down. The wines are judged again until someone runs out of wine. This game makes for a very sociable evening and ensures that new members soon get to meet the others. Mick Beaumont produced the winning wine.
