Work is set to begin on installing four 130m wind turbines between Woolley and Ellington.
Energy company RES UK will start work this month, with the project expected to take about a year.
Once operational, it will be capable of generating electricity for about 8,000 homes.
Construction project manager Chris Carey said: “We will be using our considerable experience in onshore wind projects to ensure that Woolley Hill Wind Farm is built to the highest possible standards and with minimum disruption to local people.
“We are keen to ensure that local communities derive maximum benefit, including the employment of suitable local companies and individuals during the construction phase.”
RES UK won permission for the wind farm at a planning appeal.
The scheme had been rejected by Huntingdonshire District Council and opposed by the Woolley Hill Action Group.
