Carol Gibbins welcomed 45 members and one visitor to the December meeting with a glass of Schloer. Ruth Butler read the minutes of the November meeting.
Fifteen members and husbands enjoyed lunch at Frosts Garden Centre and members are now looking forward to the Christmas dinner at the Pike and Eel later this month.
Tea, coffee and a festive mince pie were served by Anthea and Jan, and the president introduced the Christmas entertainment, Terry Warrington and Florence - music night and songs through the ages.
Terry played a variety of stringed and woodwind instruments accompanied by Florence on a selection of drums, and they sang songs from 1533 to George Formby and Glen Miller, with members singing along at every opportunity.
The raffle was drawn and nine lucky winners picked up their prizes.
December birthday girls were Val Broom, Sheila Burgess, Glenys Colbert, Margaret Downes, Jenny Rankin, Louise Rosen and Heather Wood.
