People have started heading to the polls as voting gets underway in the General Election.

Polling stations opened at 7am and all votes cast for the Huntingdon seat will be counted in the sports hall at One Leisure, St Ives after they close at 10am.

The count for Cambridgeshire West, which covers an area stretching from Needingworth in the east to Ramsey in the north and Molesworth to the west, takes place at the Peterborough Arena.

Results are likely to be announced in the early hours of tomorrow (Friday).

Later tomorrow morning, the counts will continue at One Leisure, St Ives, for the district, town and parish elections, with the winning candidates announced throughout the day.
