Volunteers are needed to support the Royal British Legion’s annual poppy appeal in St Neots.
The appeal for St Neots and Eynesbury is being co-ordinated by T L Cobbold Funeral Directors, in New Street, and volunteers are needed for the poppy table, which will be in place at the Tesco store, in Barford Road, from October 29 to November 12.
“We arrange the delivery, collection and audit of poppy boxes and tins to shops, businesses and street collectors,” said Andrea Marr, from Cobbolds.
“This year Tesco is kindly allowing us to have the poppy table in place, but we need people who can give up a few hours to help between 10am and 4pm,” she added.
If anyone would like to volunteer for a two-hour slot, they should drop in or telephone T L Cobbold, on 01480 476136.
