More than 160 metres of perimeter fence at the Godmanchester Rover’s home ground will receive a much-needed spruce-up this summer, thanks to a donation from paint suppliers, Kent Blaxhill.

The company has donated more than £800-worth of fence paint to help the club keep the ground looking smart.

Club president, Keith Gabb, said: “We would like to say a really big ‘thank you’ to Kent Blaxhill. Without the support of companies like them local football would not exist.”

The donation came about after a member of the committee approached Kent Blaxhill for a small donation of paint.

The club were astonished to receive such a large amount and have a team of 24 volunteers lined up to paint the fence in the coming weeks.
