Volunteers at the Ramsey Local Hospitals Charity shop have helped to raise �9,000 for health-related charities in just one year.
The money raised by the shop in Great Whyte will be split between Magpas, Addenbrooke’s cancer services, in Cambridge, Papworth Hospital’s lung cancer team, Peterborough City Hospital, Macmillan services from Hinchingbrooke, Ramsey Health Centre, Rainbow Surgery, Warboys Moat House Surgery and Cancer Research.
Rose Kilby, aged 86, has been running the shop since 1965. In total the shop has raised over �500,000 in that time. Anyone with unwanted goods at home can drop them at the shop.
