An artistic display of swooping and swirling by a mass of birds has been drawing birdwatchers to Godmanchester.
A huge flock of starlings has been roosting at Cow Lane Nature Reserve, which is managed by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northampton-shire Wildlife Trusts.
And at almost exactly the same time every evening, just before sunset, thousands of them take to the sky for a spectacle known as a murmuration.
Ouse Valley education and community officer Amy Robinson said: “Between 4.30pm and 5.30pm is the best time to see them. Access to the reserve is limited though, due to flooding. They can be seen from the car park with binoculars.”
