BELLS were ringing out across the district – and the country – this morning (Friday) as Britain welcomed the Olympic Games to London.
The event was orchestrated to take place country-wide at 8.12am and lasted for three minutes.
Churches including those at Brampton, Graveley, Great Gransden, Holywell, Houghton, Huntingdon, Kimbolton, Little Paxton, Eynesbury and St Neots.
The general public was also encouraged to ring hand bells, jingle keys and join in with making some early morning noise.
