A VAN fire in Great Raveley was started deliberately, say firefighters.

A crew from Ramsey was called to the incident on Raveley Road at 4.20am on Saturday, and found a van in a ditch on fire.

They used two hose reels to extinguish it, and returned to their base by 6.20am. A fire service spokesman said the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
