Pupils at Upwood Primary School turned into Simon Cowells and Gary Barlows to judge a talent show-style nativity.
The whole school performed The Stars Come Out For Christmas, with Year 6 playing the talent show hosts and audience.
Competing were elves played by Year 1, Year 2 Christmas trees, snowmen from Year 3, Christmas cards played by Year 4, and food performed by Year 5.
Lynn Mee, reception teacher, said: “They all sang different songs and danced to find the star of Christmas.
“It turns out that the star of Bethlehem is the most important so that’s when my class came in and performed a nativity and sang Away in a Manger.”
