Fire crews from Huntingdon and Cambridge were sent to a crash that came five minutes before further along the A14 at Dry Drayton. They were redirected to the crash at Hemingford Abbots after being told they weren’t needed.

Magpas Helimedix Dr Ali Tompkins and paramedic Donna White gave the man strong pain killers and anti-sickness drugs.

Another woman was escorted to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Drivers faced 30 minute delays after the road was closed. It was reopened by 11.20am.
